Welcome to the Sovereign Grace Baptist Church Website!

South Arizona's Unique Church:
  • Unique in doctrine (Holding to historic Calvinism, as reflected in the Baptist Confessions of 1644, 1689, and 1742).
  • Unique in practice (Practicing a scriptural form of leadership wherein the elders rule as representatives of the people).
  • Unique in evangelism (Believing that God saves His people through the preaching of His word).
  • Unique in preaching (Expository preaching from the Bible as our primary source).
  • Unique in worship (Practicing a traditional form of worship).
  • Unique in philosophy (Using only biblical and time-honored methods for outreach, worship, polity, missions, etc.; asserting that the local church is the only institution that God has ordained for the advancement of His work on earth).
  • Unique in authority (Recognizing the Bible as our sole authority for doctrine and practice).

Whatever waves and billows of affliction go over us at any time we must call them God's waves and his billows, that we may humble ourselves under his mighty hand, and may encourage ourselves to hope that though we be threatened we shall not be ruined; for the waves and billows are under a divine check.

—Matthew Henry
